Kelly A. Williams

Kelly A. Williams is a member of Van Cott's Energy and Natural Resource Practice Groups. Ms. Williams' practice focuses on natural resource and public lands law, with emphasis on acquisition, exploration, permitting and production of oil, gas and mineral properties. In addition, Ms. Williams has extensive experience conducting stand-up title examinations and in preparing drilling and division order, acquisition and financing title opinions on private, federal and state lands. Ms. Williams routinely advises clients with respect to transactions and agreements on oil and gas properties, including review and preparation of real property instruments and title curative documents.

Prior to joining Van Cott, Ms. Williams was an associate with the law firm of Beatty & Wozniak, P.C., and previously served as chair of the Oil and Gas Committee for the Energy and Natural Resource Section of the Utah State Bar. While in law school, Ms. Williams served as president of the Natural Resources Law Forum, editor of the Western Energy Bulletin, a legal writing teaching assistant, and a finalist in the Traynor Moot Court Competition, moving on to compete in the National Moot Court Competition.
