John P. Ashton is Chair of VanCott's Litigation Section and serves on the firm’s Board of Directors. Mr. Ashton assists clients with civil, federal, and intellectual property litigation matters. He acted as lead counsel in a class action against a major financial services company which resulted in a jury verdict and judgment in favor of the class in an amount of over $15 million. He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America® in the areas of commercial litigation and intellectual property law, he is recognized in 2007 Mountain States Super Lawyers in the area of intellectual property law and he was named one of the 2007 and 2008Utah Legal Elite in the area of business litigation.
