Gabrielle Lee Caruso is a member of VanCott's Labor and Employment Group and the Litigation Section. Ms. Caruso has extensive experience assisting clients with labor, employment and litigation matters. As the former Section Chief of the Employment, Litigation Division of the State of Utah Attorney General's office, she defended all state agencies, universities, colleges, and school districts in state and federal court, before the UALD, EEOC, and CSRB. Ms. Caruso began her career working in the labor intensive Detroit area representing employers in state and federal court in all employment related matters including sex, age, race, disability and religious discrimination, breach of employment contract, non-competition agreements, employee benefits, and independent contractor status. Detroit is the international home of the UAW and the Teamsters, and Ms. Caruso represented employers in union disputes, collective bargaining, union decertification, unfair labor practices, and unlawful picketing.  She was recognized in 2006, 2007 and 2008 as one of the Utah Legal Elite in the areas of Employment and Labor Law by Utah Business Magazine.
