FLORENCE M. VINCENT is a shareholder and a member of the firm's Business Section and Employment & Employee Benefit Practice Group. She has assisted public and private schools in connection with employee/employer matters. She has also assisted schools formulating effective strategies to comply with applicable federal and state laws. In addition, Ms. Vincent has experience providing clients with advice regarding employee benefits, employment law, corporate law, commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions, choice of entity planning, formation and maintenance, employment and confidentiality agreements, sales agreements and agreements for governmental entities. Ms. Vincent also assists clients with labor and employment litigation matters. For example, in 2007, Ms. Vincent represented DaimlerChrysler in DaimlerChrysler Corp. v. Cox, 447 F.3d 967 (6th Cir. 2006). This case affirmed a district court judgment that Michigan State Court Orders and related Notices to DaimlerChrysler's pension plan violated ERISA's anti-alienation provisions.

Ms. Vincent has served as the Chair for the Utah State Bar Business Section; has participated in the Salt Lake Chamber Leadership program; serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Van Cott, Bagley, Cornwall & McCarthy, P.C.; is a board member for Stepping Stones, a Utah non-profit corporation that provides educational needs to the children of Botswana; and serves on the Board of Directors for Columbus Community Center, an organization that supports the growth, development, and independence of persons with disabilities through education, rehabilitation programs, and work opportunities.
