James R. Farmer, Ph.D. is Of Counsel with the firm's Intellectual Property Section. His practice involves patent litigation and prosecution, opinion preparation, license agreements, due diligence, and counseling in a wide range of technical disciplines including aerospace, mechanical, electrical, and chemical engineering. Prior to practicing law, Dr. Farmer held post-doctoral fellowships at Princeton University and Brigham Young University, where he specialized in the areas of engineering physics, fluid mechanics, and applied mathematics. During this period, he collaborated extensively with scientists from both private and government research laboratories, including NASA Ames Research Center, the David Taylor Model Basin, and Intelligent Aerodynamics, Inc.
