Mara Brown and Cassie Medura Named Shareholders
April 10, 2006... The law firm of VanCott, Bagley, Cornwall & McCarthy is pleased to announce that Mara A. Brown and Cassie J. Medura have been named shareholders.
Mara A. Brown is a member of VanCott's Ogden legal team where she assists clients with general litigation, corporate and real estate matters.
Ms. Brown is active in the Ogden Weber Chamber of Commerce and presently serves as the Chair of the Executive Board of the Women in Business Committee. She is also a member of the Rex E. Lee American Inn of Court and Women Lawyers of Utah. Ms. Brown has been active in the Ogden community and is the Current Chair of the Ogden Revitalization Committee of the Utah Heritage Foundation, and past Chair of the Board of Directors of the Ogden Nature Center. She is also a sustaining member of the Junior League of Ogden.
Ms. Brown received her Bachelors degree from Smith College, her Masters degree from Oregon State University, and her J.D. degree from the University of Oregon.
Cassie J. Medura is a member of the firm's Litigation Section, where she assists clients with commercial litigation, labor and employment, construction, appellate, ADR, mediation and family law matters. Ms. Medura assists clients from Van Cott's Salt Lake City and Park City offices.
Ms. Medura received her B.S. and J.D. degrees from the University of Utah, and served as a law clerk for the Honorable Pamela T. Greenwood, Utah Court of Appeals. She is a Member of the Needs of Children Section of the Utah State Bar and a private Volunteer Guardian ad Litem. She is also a member of the Women Lawyers of Utah, and the Young Lawyers Division of the Utah State Bar.
