Two New Associates Join Vancott

December 22, 2004... The law firm of Van Cott, Bagley, Cornwall & McCarthy is pleased to announce that Timothy S. McCoy and Sam Meziani have joined the firm as associates.

Timothy McCoy started his career with Van Cott as a summer associate in 2002. He began his legal education at the University of Kansas School of Law, and received his J.D. this past fall from the University of Utah's S.J. Quinney College of Law, where he was a member of the Journal of Law & Family Studies. Mr. McCoy will concentrate his practice on corporate litigation matters, with an emphasis on labor and employment law.

Sam Meziani comes to Van Cott from Dart Adamson & Donovan where he handled corporate, construction, and family law-related litigation matters. Prior to coming to Salt Lake City, he served as an Extern for the Honorable Blanche M. Manning, United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, in the spring of 2002, and for the United States Environmental Protection Agency Office of Regional Counsel in the fall of 2002. Active in the Utah State Bar, Mr. Meziani is a member of the Young Lawyers Division, a regular volunteer for the Tuesday Night Bar, and a member of the Litigation, Construction, and Environmental Law Sections. He received his Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of Utah in 1999, and his J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 2003.
