Jennifer Anderson Whitlock, a shareholder with the law firm of Van Cott, Bagley, Cornwall & McCarthy, was recently named the President of the Board of Trustees for the Legal Aid Society of Salt Lake. "I am honored to work with such a strong group of legal and non-legal professionals who are committed to serving families in our community in their time of need," noted Whitlock.
The Legal Aid Society is a private non-profit organization that provides legal representation to individuals with family law cases and victims of domestic violence seeking a protective order in the Third District Courts in Salt Lake County. The organization has been protecting the legal rights of families since 1922.

The law firm of Van Cott, Bagley, Corwall & McCarthy is pleased to announce that Evan S. Strassberg has joined the firm as an associate. Mr. Strassberg began his career with Van Cott in 1997 as a summer associate and later as an assocate after earning his J.D. from the University of Utah College of Law. In 2001, he joined the firm of Jones Day in Los Angeles, where he handled large scale construction disputes, and other high profile litigation cases. Mr. Strassberg returned to Van Cott in November 2003, joining the firm's litigation section.
