Van Cott Law Firm and Associated Foods Deliver $10,000 and a Semi Truckload of Food to Utah Food Bank

Salt Lake City, UT - Wednesday, December 23, 2009 -Utah Food Bank announced the results of a collaborative food drive with Associated Food Services and the law firm of Van Cott, Bagley, Cornwall & McCarthy.  During the three-week collection period, six stores and their customers as well as individuals and families from the law firm collected nearly 21,684 pounds of food for those in need this holiday season. The drive received a significant boost from contributions collected by ski instructors from Park City Mountain Resort.


Steve Swindle, President of Van Cott, noted that, "It has been a truly rewarding experience. We have matched Van Cott's 892-pound food donation with a $10,000 contribution to Utah Food Bank.  Our firm is proud to know that our donations will be distributed to food pantries and service agencies throughout the state." 


The 21,684 pounds of food collected through this drive is the equivalent of 16,941 meals, enough to feed 15 people for an entire year.
